2025-09-15

From September 8 to 9, the 10th China Airport Service Conference, a two-day grand event, was held in the Friendship Hall of the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Under the theme of "Innovation Empowers Efficiency Enhancement, Quality Service Fuels Consumption Growth," the conference attracted a total of 1,260 participants, including leaders, experts, and scholars from domestic industry regulatory authorities, airport groups, transport airports, transport support departments, civil aviation research institutions and universities, airport construction and operation business departments, and the Airports Council International (ACI), among others.

The 10th China Airport Service Conference was hosted by the China Civil Airports Association (CCAA) and co-hosted by the Guangdong Airport Management Corporation. This event marked another significant industry gathering since its last edition in Guangzhou in 2017, providing a platform for extensive exchanges and pooling industry wisdom. Moreover, it represented a crucial initiative to implement the Civil Aviation Administration of Chinas (CAAC) 2025 theme campaign titled "Civil Aviation Services to Boost Consumption."

Wang Ruiping, Chairman of the CCAA, stated that, with the theme of "Innovation Empowers Efficiency Enhancement, Quality Service Fuels Consumption Growth," this service conference not only focused on key industry issues but also showcased innovative achievements, creating a comprehensive platform that seamlessly integrates learning, exchange, and exhibition. The CCAA will remain committed to a people-centered approach and work alongside the entire industry with greater determination and practical actions. By leveraging the service quality system as the "backbone" and the service brand as the "soul," the CCAA aims to transform Chinese airports  not only convenient gateways for travelers but also aerial portals that convey the warmth of Chinese services and showcase the industrys strength, contributing more Chinese solutions to the global upgrade of civil aviation services.

Justin Erbacci, Global Director General of ACI, noted that the global air passenger market continues to experience steady growth, while global air cargo has witnessed a robust rebound. The global aviation industry has demonstrated strong resilience, with the Asia-Pacific region playing a leading role. In the long term, the demand for air travel is expected to sustain its growth trajectory. He urged airports worldwide to continuously strengthen safety measures, prioritize enhancing passenger experiences, focus on the development and application of new technologies, promote the use of sustainable aviation fuels, and collectively lead the transformation and development of airports.

Zhang Yuan, Secretary-General of the CCAA, and Billie Moore, Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Airports Association, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on behalf of their respective associations. This strategic collaboration between the airport associations of the two countries will establish a broader international platform for exchanges and cooperation for their member units.

The 11th China Airport Service Conference will be held in Urumqi, Xinjiang, in 2026.
