The highly anticipated 2025 International Airport Expo was grandly held in Guangzhou from September 8 to September 11. The China Civil Airports Association (CCAA) showcased Chinas airport industrys open stance and remarkable achievements to the global civil aviation sector through a series of high-level international exchange and exhibition activities, successfully expanding new horizons for international cooperation.
I. The CCAA successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Airports Association of New Zealand. The conclusion of this significant international cooperation agreement marks the commencement of comprehensive collaboration between the airport associations of the two countries in multiple areas, including promoting airport development, standard exchanges, conference participation, information and data exchanges, technological innovation, and specialized research. It sets a new benchmark for international cooperation among global airport industry associations.
II. The CCAA successfully organized and hosted the 17th Airport Working Group Meeting of the China-UK Economic and Trade Joint Committee.
III. The 7th Airports Council International (ACI) Global Passenger Experience Conference opened with great fanfare. Wang Ruiping, President of the CCAA, delivered an important keynote speech titled "People-Oriented, Innovating Experiences" at the opening ceremony.
IV. Zhang Yuan, Secretary-General of the CCAA, was invited by ACI to deliver an English speech titled "The Practical Path of Barrier-Free Construction in Chinese Airports." The speech presented a multi-dimensional perspective on how the Chinese airport industry upholds a people-oriented service philosophy and utilizes group standards to promote inclusive service construction in airports, thereby fostering a barrier-free ecological environment.
V. During the ACI Summit, the Chairman Mdm. Wang Ruiping and Secretary-General Mdm. Zhang Yuan of the CCAA held brief, pragmatic, and efficient meetings with senior leaders of ACI, including Justin Erbacci, Global Director General; Candace McGraw, Chair of the Global Board of Directors; and Antoine Rostworowski, Global Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Both sides confirmed that they would engage in exchanges on airport carbon certification with ACI Europe next year and continue to advance various cooperation plans, including the talent secondment program, further deepening pragmatic communication and collaboration in international cooperation and industry governance.
VI. During the ACI Global Passenger Experience Summit, the CCAA continued its tradition of setting up an exhibition booth. Association staff provided detailed introductions in both Chinese and English to visiting guests about the CCAAs four major service sectors: safety, green development, intelligence, and humanities. They showcased the various achievements of Chinas airports in high-quality development and expressed their willingness to actively collaborate with international partners to jointly contribute to the development of the global civil aviation sector.
